ITmatic's approach in Creating Sustained Project Value

ITmatic has the in-house ability to ensure a cost-effective replicable solution based upon robust well-proven technologies and methodologies. ITmatic can Design, Procure, Build, Support and Manage any of the functions surrounding a Green Fields installation. It eliminates the complexities when working with multiple-service providers and takes cognizance of the requirements of the intricate process workflow required in Mining systems.
ITmatic offers the following In-house Technologies from Design to Maintain:
- • LV Systems
- • MV Systems
- • Instrumentation
- • Control Systems
- • Plant Management Systems
- • Support & Maintenance
- • Plant Installations
- • Containerized Package Solutions
ITmatic has the openness, ability and readiness to support the client in all these functions in a Turnkey format or on customized approach based on budget or existing supplier relationships. Our commitment is towards the project and the successful delivery of an optimum maintainable solution in the desired budget in the required time.
We are well aware of the different approaches that might be strategically placed on the project and how to perform against this background.
Some Project Strategies that ITmatic are involved in on a continual basis:
- • World Class "Matured" Plants - Normal to Market and very high-end
- • Workable "Matured" Plants - Normal to Market but fit for purpose
- • "Let is work" Plants - Quick to Market not fit for purpose
- • "In-Mature" Plants - Client wants whatever is available and cheapest
- • Then ITmatic Approach o Matured but Balanced Plants - Quick to Market with Proven Technologies
Creating Project Value through Flexibility
Although ITmatic has the ability to design and implement the full E,C&I functions of the project at a competitive "Value for Money" approach, we are also totally open to discuss unconventional approaches and offer alternatives to suite the project but still highlighting possible risks.
Total Package Removal

ITmatic is open to certain packages been free issued in totality to the project. We would want to support the project by showing different available options that would suite price but still keep the integrity of the overall Solution.
ITmatic has the ability to "point" the client in the direction of the optimal supplier. We understand the issue around selection criteria and the necessities in approaching the following topics:
- • Overall Design Integrity
- • Price
- • Time to Site
- • Maintainability
- • Track Record
- • Quality Control
- • FAT & SAT
Partial Package Removal

In cases where the client has preferred or equal pricing compared to ITmatic, ITmatic is totally content in the client issuing the equipment and ITmatic providing the services to complete the package. We have in the past delivered multiple projects in this format and even keeping in mind the small handling fee ITmatic requires for this model the following issues are well taken care of:
- • Final Hardware Design integrity
- • Procurement Management
- • Total Solution Responsibility
- • Quality Control
- • Documentation Control
- • FAT Responsibility
- • Packaging and Crating
- • Site Installation Management
- • SAT Testing
- • Ongoing Support and Maintenance
Project Management
The challenge of today's project management stakeholders is to weave a web of new and improved project management practices. A web that is simple enough that we can all understand it and use it to the benefit of planning, organising and controlling all projects that will meet the objectives of business within the constraints of time, cost and performance.
Successful project management goes beyond maintaining realistic expectation levels and completing projects within budget, scope, time and resource constraints. Today the need to train, facilitate and to participate in high performing project teams requires a new application of team collaboration (Team building); clear and elevating project goals setting; high performance and quality standards and a culture of cross-functional and self-direction if companies of the future would like to survive in a world of management and succeeding in projects.

ITmatic takes full responsibility on the following Project Management Functions:
- • Integration Management
- • Scope Management
- • Cost Management
- • Time Management
- • Quality Management
- • Human Resource Management
- • Communication Management
- • Risk Management
- • Procurement Management
Over the last decade ITmatic has built an optimum Methodology backed by our Prolog Project Management system to ensure that we get continues project success. The main themes built into the Methodology is the following:
- • Project and Quality management embedded into the implementation
- • Full suite of stress-tested technologies for the roll-out of the solution
- • The full solution built - and tested - prior to shipment to the client’s site
- • Risk reduction with a single supplier for the total fully integrated solution
- • Fit for purpose products within the clients requirements
- • Process workflow discussed, analysed and supported from a single supplier
- • Enhanced performance capabilities with interoperability guarantees in excess of those achievable by sourcing the various elements from multiple suppliers
- • Fully integrated system supporting the required workflow processes
- • Fully integrated network infrastructure for total Plant utilization
Highlighted - ITmatic Optimum Quality Management
The principal purpose of Project Engineering is to guarantee the quality of task products by defining tasks and techniques in such a way that high-quality products are automatically produced. Thus, quality is built into the process. James Martin has defined quality as "meeting the business requirements as effectively as possible at the time the system comes into operation".
The main role of the quality management function in ITmatic Project Engineering is to create an environment and a set of attitudes that automatically lead to the creation of high-quality products. With Project Engineering, the process itself is the main component of quality management. The essential ingredients of Project Engineering (i.e., the process, tools, well-trained people and the right management structure) are themselves the best guarantees of high-quality products. An enterprise thus implements quality management in parallel with implementing Project Engineering.
Our Approach
Our approach is to view the environment as a seamless system, to apply sound business principles, to determine and eliminate duplicate activity and to pro-actively seek opportunities for common solutions and the integration of systems. We do not "reinvent the wheel" - we solve common problems once, we use the single solution many times. We maximise potential for return on investment. We endorse the project, oversee its progress and direct its implementation across the various entities.
Our approach is centred on the following principles:
- • Accept risk. It is only when you accept risk that you are motivated to perform at the very highest level and thereby reducing project risks
- • Deliver against challenging service levels. The service levels need to be set up-front and enhanced throughout the term of the contract so that the partner is always challenged to perform at higher and higher standards. It is challenges such as these that create the platform to deliver world-class service
- • Guaranteed delivery to agreed service levels, dead lines and quality standards.
- • Ensure that the client has the required flexibility within the offering to cope with changing demands
- • Add value from day one and continue to add value throughout the period of the contract
- • Appropriate testing of products, functionality and interoperability
